We had high hopes for Stafford Lake's course to be improved over what we experienced last year. As we quickly learned during our Saturday afternoon pre-ride, while some areas were improved, other challenges remained. As the results showed, it was a tough course and many racers experienced problems, especially as the day warmed up.
Regardless, we had a great time in Vallejo enjoying a Saturday night dinner by the pool. It was also great to help Ramsey celebrate his 17th birthday! Many thanks to team mom and club coach, Mari Lambidakis who helped find and coordinate our lodging for this race. Also, thanks again for more wonderful photos taken by Larry Kerr!
Congratulations to Geneva for her second place finish in Sophomore Girls. Kyle placed 13th in Sophomore Boys division two. Also, Congratulations to our senior rider, Connor Allen who rode his last high school race- smiling all the way to his strong 4 lap finish, way to go!
The 2013 Kirby Race Team goes down in our nine year history as the team with the best results for a season!
